It was intended to assist hospitals that were too large for the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) to pay for staffing and increased costs associated with COVID19. In addition many hospitals were told to cease "elective procedures" which also had an impact on their fiscal health. Here with us today is Brian Dieter, President & CEO of Mary Greeley Medical Center based in Ames, Iowa and Gary Botine the hospital CFO to explain the program, what it means to you and what they hope to negotiate in the coming weeks.

Thursday Jun 04, 2020
Thursday Jun 04, 2020
The other day I got a note from my friend Doug Burns the co-owner and Vice President of News at the Carroll Times Herald asking me to read a story he had just written. After reading I did something I rarely do; I picked up the phone and asked Doug for an interview. Why? Well, it's because this is a story that talks about hope and friendship and more. It's about lifelong friends Doug Burns and a Commissioner for the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission, Elliot Kaye who, during his career has protected millions of Americans. In this piece we talk a bit about the media, Iowa, folks that we have in common and then launch into why Elliot could use your help Here, by the way, is the link to the Georgetown University Medical Center Kidney Transplant Site. Yeah...that. And maybe, just maybe, if this gets around to enough folks we might find a match.
