Also today was the Annual Workers' Memorial Day. A day set aside by the AFL/CIO to remember workers who died on the job over the past year. It was a somber morning at the Iowa State capital in Des Moines as families and friends, co-workers and dignitaries gathered to mark yet another Workers' Memorial Day. Twenty-six Iowans left for work and didn't return last year. Inside you'll hear from Mark Cooper the president of the South-Central Iowa Federation of Labor AFL/CIO and event organizer Holly Sagar who has a very personal connection with the Memorial.
