He's been away from what he loves for over a year. Carlos Alvarez, a Tero International Trainer for twenty years, is back in front of business professionals who want to learn how to Speak Their Way to Success. I sat down with my friend Carlos to talk about the past year. Why he took the time off, what he gets from being in front of a live classroom and how he made a pivot to teach in an elementary classroom. What he learned from that experience is...astounding. Listen in!

It's been a nightmare on Wall Street now for three days and the inflation numbers today really drove the markets down. Also today we've got an interesting conversation about the world of air guitar competition. No, really! And if you think this is too weird know that ESPN will, this summer, air the competition. You'll meet The Flying Finn in just a bit. In the news:
Consumer prices shot up in April;
The impact on Wall Street;
Gasoline hording and rising prices;
Hertz accepted a buy-out and it's a story;
The Wall Street Report;
Rethinking "low skilled workers".
For the interview you'll meet Andrew Finn who goes by his stage name in the air guitar world as "The Flying Finn". Andrew is an international star and he's in to chat it up about this amazing sport, ESPN and international competition. To listen in click here.

The Air Guitar World with The Flying Finn
Wednesday May 12, 2021
Wednesday May 12, 2021
Over the years we've interviewed hundreds of people from entrepreneurs and their startups to political folks and seasoned business people. This conversation is a...first. Here you will meet an international star from the world of air guitar competition. You read that correctly. Andrew Finn is "The Flying Finn". Andrew has been performing for 16 years and recently on the international stage in (of course) Finland! And, in case you think this is a "one off", ESPN is slated to showcase the world of air guitar competition this summer. Here is a link to a video from his competition in Finland. I sat down with Andrew to learn more and it's quite the story.
Thanks for listening.

Some massive moves on Wall Street today as investors are in a word...spooked. Meanwhile some changes are coming regarding unemployment benefits and folks are concerned. Speaking of employment we'll be visiting today with Keenan Crow about kids, sports and gender. It's a story playing out in some 30 U.S. states. But first, the news:
Biden says you must take that job;
The link between jobs and the cost of goods;
The Dow cratered today and we'll share why;
Retirees are mad as hell at Verizon;
The Jones Act and fuel is a story;
The Wall Street Report;
Our ever expanding "unfriendly skies".
Then, for the interview it's Keenan Crow the Director of Policy and Advocacy for One Iowa. We're talking about kids, sports and gender. As we said earlier this is not only about Iowa because some thirty states are also considering similar moves. What is it all about? What is the business connection? Why does it matter? All asked and answered. To listen, click this link.
