Visiting Iowa's 942 Incorporated Communities with Dave Miglin

Five years ago, on a whim, Dave Miglin the Vice President of Media & Digital Services at Strategic America, a marketing & advertising agency, thought up the idea of visiting every one of the then 955 Incorporated Communities in Iowa.  Recently he finished that project and now wants to find ways to go back and help these towns find ways to capitalize on what they have.  From the tiny community of Le Roy to the redemption at West Bend. Democracy on Tap with J.D. Scholten

Late last evening we were able to catch up with J.D. Scholten in one of many stops he's made with Democracy on Tap a voting rights effort from the New Iowa Project. The event, held at a local brewpub (like all the stops), is designed to get voting activists involved following the recent purge of voters from the rolls as well as a long list of "voter suppression" legislation recently passed by the Iowa Legislature.
