On tap today we're talking the opening of Cabaret at the Des Moines Playhouse the Grand Re-Opening of Noce...think some of the best live music in the city. Of course the Downtown Farmers Market gets a shout out. A little football talk, think Iowa vs. Iowa State and it is a big deal. Meanwhile in Ottumwa the Cracktastic Plastic Event...you like comics...this is your deal. Alan Jackson is in town. The Central Library Book Sale is a happening thing. Hoyt Sherman Place has the Robert Cray Band. Valley Junction and their farmers market is a happening thing. Wilco and Trampled by Turtles at the Water Works Park on Thursday.  Did we mention the Knoxville Raceway?  Yes we did! Now get out there and have some fun...you deserve it!

It's the Friday Edition of the Business News Headlines and each Friday afternoon we offer up "Stuff to DO" in the Greater Des Moines Metro with Jeff Pitts the managing editor of Cityview Magazine.  Today we're talking about the Iowa State Fair, a "quirky" play going on in Indianola called "Title of Show"...think wine. The Iowa Barnstormers are in action this weekend. On Friday evening it's Architecture on the Move in downtown Des Moines. Yes we chat it up about the Downtown Farmers Market. Next week you can go to Indianola (again) for Tomahawks and Atlatls (we had to look that up). Zoo Brew happens at the Blank Park Zoo on Wednesday.  Also Bryce Vine is at the Val Air Ballroom for his "I Miss You A Little" tour. And on Thursday you MUST go to the Valley Junction Farmers Market to hear Stark Raving Madge and we tell you why.  Get out and have some fun already!
