The Impact of Latinos on Business, the Economy and Politics

Multi Cultural and Language Workers - Already Here - DMPS CLAT

This week the Des Moines Public Schools Community Legislative Action Team went to the Iowa Statehouse to talk to legislators about a couple of items. I caught up with Cindy Elsbernd the Chair of the Des Moines Public School (DMPS) Board and Claudia Brown an activist and multilingual IT professional at a Des Moines corporation. We talked about language issues and the 7,000 students in the DMPS who can be huge assets for companies seeking multilingual employees. It's how business and education can team up and win.
