When her book came out a couple of months ago I wrote down that we must have her back and here we are. Dr. Ainissa Ramirez is first a scientist and yet she is also an effective story-teller. The book is The Alchemy of Us - How Humans and Matter Transformed One Another but FULL STOPP...if you are thinking, "Great a book about science...pass." don't! This is both science and history and stories about people you have heard about and others that have passed into oblivion. But each has left a mark on how you and I go about our daily life... It's amazing what you can find just by listening. A couple of weeks ago I was making some calls from the office and stumbled on the mother of Kylie Kolz one half of something called 29th State Apparel. Kylie, along with her brother Nick, have created a line of clothing that not only cool but has a message. Where does the name come from, what they sell, how they market and more. In addition the startup shares 5% of their profits with local charities. Nice. Meet Kylie right here.

We love it even more when mentors, no matter their age, recognize that they can be the catalyst for the successful growth of others. Here you will meet Rachel Trainum from Tero International who, just a few years ago was a summer intern. Now, during a dramatic transition for the Tero Team due to COVID19 Rachel found herself supervising this year's crop of interns and understood that by setting them free to create they did an incredible job. This is good stuff!
