Next week the Social Media Club - Des Moines will hold a special event centered on The Wave. You saw The Wave this past weekend from Kinnick Stadium when fans, players, coaches, officials all turn and wave for several minutes at patients and families at the University Children's Hospital. Did you know it all started two years ago with one Facebook Post. On Tuesday 18 September the Social Media Club - Des Moines will hold a special event and panel discussion and proceeds go directly to the University of Iowa Children's Hospital. Our Out to Lunch segment is designed to expand the story from throught leaders across the Midwest. Today we go Out to Lunch with Joshua V. Barr the executive director of the Des Moines Civil and Human Rights Commission to talk about the community wide event taking place on 17 September between 6pm and 8pm. It's called Bridging the Gap.
