The West is still grappling with the unwavering attack on civilian parts of Ukraine by the Russian army. High level negotiations failed to secure safe passage out of besieged Ukrainian cities and it all rocked the world. That's where things were today and it is in a word. Awful. There was other news:
We have an $8 billion problem with cheats;
The markets fell on inflation numbers;
The collapse of a cease fire dented everything;
A drop in oil prices did little to help Wall Street;
A big stock split is coming and you know the company;
So if your company leaves Russia we'll just seize it;
Will Buzz Feed News ever...grow;
The Wall Street Report;
The biggest two words of 2021 were "I quit" why and then what?
And, perhaps part of the answer to retention, based on why workers said they quit, might just be this conversation with Ro Crosbie from Tero International. If people are quitting because they do not feel valued or appreciated how can a company fix that? She has an answer. To listen to that re-boot just click here.

The Great Resignation and Professional Development
Thursday Feb 24, 2022
Thursday Feb 24, 2022
Just this week we had a news story about how businesses are attempting to meet the wage issues of their employees in light of inflationary pressures. Some are instituting more than one annual performance evaluation hoping to increase wages twice a year. But is money always the answer? My guest is Ro Crosbie the founder and president of Tero International and we're talking about the "The Roll of Professional Development During the Great Resignation". Here she offers some solid evidence that businesses that continue to develop their talent have much better retention and productivity. Here is that conversation.

Tuesday Feb 15, 2022
While more and more Americans are returning to restaurants, theaters and sporting events they are resisting the return to the office. Employers are reluctant to push the return given the labor crunch but, still, it's important to be able to build a cohesive team even if working remotely. Meet returning guest Liz Cooney from Tero International as she talks about ways managers and owners can encourage team building even when everybody isn't in the office.

Thoughts About the National Tractor Parts Dealer Association with Scott and Trey
Tuesday Feb 15, 2022
Tuesday Feb 15, 2022
Over 40 years ago a group of agriculture equipment recyclers got together and formed the National Tractor Parts Dealer Association (NTPDA). The group was small and mostly confined to the United States. Today the association has members not only in the U.S. but also Canada, Italy, Spain, Germany, the United Kingdom and Malaysia. Here I sit down with Scott Schelling the Immediate Past President and owner of Rock Valley Tractor Parts of Iowa and Trey Russell the incoming President and second generation to Russell's Tractor Parts of Alabama during our time at our Annual Conference and Trade Show. We talk about what they've gotten out of the association and what may be coming in the future. Plus a "Shout Out" about the Summer Mixer coming in July.
