Out to Lunch with Heidi Soliday

Strap in you're about to hear some amazing stories from the first female to become a sports director at a television station. Heidi Soliday was the face and voice of sports in Iowa at the Des Moines CBS affiliate KCCI. Here, as we go Out to Lunch at Range Grill + Golf she share stories of her years as a swimmer her trip to Europe at 16 to compete in a national luge competition even though she had never been on a sled in her life. Then a chance at the Olympics? And does she drop names...you bet. We talk about the business of reporting the news, how it has changed, the role of women in TV news and her cycling adventures now as part of the Climate Ride. Enjoy!
