Tuesday Mar 19, 2019
To be sure I know little to nothing about yoga. Oh sure I see folks in the park or going into buildings with their yoga mats slung over their shoulder but, where does it come from? How did it start and is there a difference in yoga styles and teaching? So, I sat down with Mary McCarthy from Yoga by Mary to ask those questions and more. Click thorough and enjoy...I know I learned a bunch.

This Is Healthcare? Roxi Copland and "The Breast of the Story"
Thursday Mar 14, 2019
Thursday Mar 14, 2019
We are told by insurance companies the way to hold costs down is to research health care charges and learn what the payment options are. How is that working? Enter Roxi Copland who found a lump in her breast and tried to figure out her options. It turned into a circus and, from what she says, it's a system that is so convoluted it's nearly impossible to do...what we're told to do.

Saturday Mar 02, 2019
Saturday Mar 02, 2019
One of the neat things we get to do is to partner with the Windsor Heights, Iowa Chamber of Commerce in helping them give "voice" to their members. From time to time we've sat down with their new or existing members and offered our services to be able to share their story. It's what we do... Here you'll learn about the history of the Des Moines YMCA and the Boone, Iowa YMCA Camp as well as the work being done at the Walnut Creek YMCA a new member of the Windsor Heights Chamber. Meet Michelle Allison-Peterson and then consider how you might engage with this YMCA or your local YMCA.
