Fall Fest 2023 - Get To Know Our Community

While this may seem "hyper-local" it very well may give you and your community some ideas on how to create a winning event for the whole family. They head up the Special Events Committee for the community of just over 5,200 people located in the middle of the Greater Des Moines Metro with over 700,000 folks. 4th Annual Sista Soul Fest with Loretta Windsor

Over the years we've had the opportunity to visit with so many entrepreneurs and at each meeting we've found their stories to be compelling.  That too was the case when I sat down with Loretta Windsor the founder of Sista Soul Fest now in its fourth year. This is so much more than a festival. There is a  powerful economic driver behind her vision for build economic wealth for women and especially women of color. The Windsor Heights, Iowa Book Fair with Tyler Granger

Sometimes, even though we have an international audience, we get to do some hyper-local things and that's what you're getting today.  Why? Because we think this is such a neat idea we hope that someone in another town, state or nation might pick up on the idea and do a local book fair where you live. Here you'll meet Tyler Granger from Windsor Heights, Iowa who has put together a book fair featuring Iowa writers ranging from history to news to romance to mystery to children's books.  He has done a masterful job in promoting the event as well.
