For thirty years Duane Ellett entertained Central Iowa with his creation, "The Floppy Show" but few have an understanding of the brilliant mind that created a real business out of balsa wood and felt. Our guest is author, historian and news director for News Talk 1540 KXEL, Jeff Stein who will be in Ankeny on Thursday for a free presentation about his book The Floppy Show and the magic and mind of the late Duane Ellett. Meet Author Margie Odem of Mobile

It was a chance meeting at a Chick-fil-A in Mobile, Alabama. Margie Odom told me she has been in the food service business for over 35 years and loves her job. As we talked she told me she had just authored a book of inspirational poems. So, we sat down for five minutes so she could tell you about it. Her infectious personality comes through.
