Last month we were made aware of something called EchoLight Cinemas. We asked around and found that it is an evangelical group that asks churches to become a "movie theater" and show high quality films with a religious bent. Affordable Housing Issues in the Des Moines Metro

The Des Moines Metro is an amazingly vibrant region of the nation with low unemployment, a positive business climate, a strong work ethic and affordable housing...for some.  While a majority (61%) of people living in the Metro enjoy housing and transportation costs that takes no more than 45 percent of their household income there is another story: The 39% of families living in the Des Moines Metro that spend an excessive amount on housing and transportation thereby making housing for them unaffordable.  What is the impact to the economy and the people that are affected?
