The Business News Headlines 17 June 2024
Welcome to the Monday Edition of the Business News Headlines! We kick things off today with a big story from the Internal Revenue Service. The IRS is about to crack down on what they call a "shell game" used by wealthy individuals and businesses to avoid paying taxes. The crack down will result in raising $50 billion over the next ten years. That story and more and if you want to reach out to us on Social Media you can hook up with us all day on Twitter or "X" @IOB_NewsHour and on Instagram. Facebook? Sure were there too. Here's what we've got for you today:
- The new IRS target and why it's happening;
- A railroad owes nearly $400 million to a Washington State tribe;
- Juneteenth is upon us. What it is, what is open and what is closed;
- The Wall Street Report;
- Looks like Wells Fargo guessed...wrong.
Thanks for being here!
