The Business News Headlines 16 June 2023
Welcome to Friday and what, for some, is the end of a very busy week. Some partly person news: Last evening I attended an event honoring the 75th Anniversary of the State of Israel. On hand were elected leaders and several hundred citizens who follow a group known as Iowans Supporting Israel a bipartisan organization that promotes understanding and business connections with the Jewish State. Our featured guest was Deputy Chief of Mission from Washington, D.C. Eliav Benjamin. We hope to feature Eliav in a future interview to talk about business opportunities between the U.S. and Israel. Here's a shot of elected officials and board members of ISI. Also, remember that you can hook up with us all day on Twitter @IOB_NewsHour and on Instagram. Here's what we've got for you today:
- Millions hit with a data breach;
- Consumer Sentiment gains, big time;
- A manual transmission in an EV? Yep;
- A DIY converting gas to EV made the news;
- The writers strike continues with some new players;
- The UPS strike vote is not even...close;
- Two beer stories to share with you;
- The Wall Street Report;
- The high cost of celebrating Pride Month.
Thanks for listening!
