The Business News Headlines 16 July 2019
It's all about the numbers...and so we begin earnings season on Wall Street and some big names reported those numbers today before the bell. We'll talk about it. In addition to that story:
- Abigail Disney is, in a word, livid;
- Prime Day has a promotion...sort of;
- Retail sales numbers are in;
- Where the money is coming from for consumers to buy stuff;
- Politics and the Twitter Feed of President Trump.
Those stories plus a conversation with the Mayor of New York City, Bill de Blasio as he made a quick stop in Iowa to press on with his 2020 presidential run. I asked him four question and his answers surprised me and I'll bet they surprise you as well. To listen to that conversation, click here.
Also today is the second day of the 2020 Presidential Forum sponsored by AARP-Iowa. We were in Des Moines at the first stop of this five city swing and visited with attendees. You can hear their reaction here.
