When the weather gets rough the airlines can't fly and that has, once again, backed up travel during a very busy time.  That story kicks us off today on this the 17th of March.  In other news, President Trump is not happy with the way the media is reporting on the war in Iran.  And, there are threats. Bank of America enters into a settlement with victims of Jeffery Epstein. In more legal news today closing arguments began in the Twitter case against Elon Musk. The war in Iran has made some Central Bank decisions more difficult. No end in sight for the war in Iran and investors turn, once again, to oil as world markets collapse.  That's where we start this evening in The Business News Headlines for Thursday the 12th day of March.  Thank you for listening. In other news, a bipartisan bill passed the senate and it all has to do with…housing. That social media trial in California winds down and we’ll have the latest. Mortgage rates didn’t stay down for long…we have new news. What do you get when you mix a lousy jobs report, spiking oil prices and a downturn in retail sales?  Simple, a mess and that is where we start this evening.  This is the Business News Headlines for Friday the 6th day of March, thanks for listening.  In other news, oil popped by over ten dollars a barrel. January retail sales slumped and we’ll share by how much. The U.S. will now sell Venezuelan gold. Indonesia will ban social media for children under the age of 16. In other international news Canada and Japan have signed an agreement to strengthen defense and economic opportunities. Customs and Border Protection official says a new process for tariff refunds could be ready in 45 days. Model, AFROTC, Social Media Influencer meet Jovie!

On Thanksgiving Day I asked my 17 year-old granddaughter, Jovie, to help me with some new studio recording gear. So we sat down for this conversation about all that she is involved with. From her work as a paid model to what she does with social media to her love for the AFROTC.  Not too shabby for a senior in high school. The Markets and Meet Jovie 28 November 2025

It's the holiday week and we hope you had a great Thanksgiving Day event with friends and family. Something interesting about the Hebrew word for turkey which is hodu.  And, that word, hudo, also means being grateful and giving thanks.  Guess we now know why we have turkey on Thanksgiving.  Today is a much shortened broadcast but we do have a special guest.  My granddaughter Jovie joined me on Thanksgiving Day to test out some new recording gear and we spent some time talking about her work as a model, a commander in her high school ROTC program, her social media work and more.  Am I partial?  Of course but I think this conversation will instill in you some hope that the future is indeed bright.
