The Business News Headlines 23 March 2021

Welcome back and we've got quite the mixed bag of news for you today plus an interesting conversation about high mileage vehicles that may not be that high at all. But first the news:

For the interview Karl Brauer is back from ISeeCars.com and this time we're talking about those high-mileage vehicles that consumers disregard but, in reality, they may only be starting their life cycle. We'll look at the top 16 vehicles in the U.S. that are still running strong after 200,000 plus miles. It's really good stuff! To listen, click here!

Boosting the Economy with Velocity

A returning guest is Dr. Chris Draper the managing partner for Troket and the author of Velocity Economics - The Real American Economy. For decades the United States has followed the notion that if you give wealthy people more money they, in turn, will create good paying jobs. For those of you who remember it was called "Trickle Down Economics". Recently President Biden signed into law the American Rescue Plan that gets substantial dollars into the hands of consumers. That, says Dr. Draper, is exactly what is needed to springboard our economy. Here is our conversation.

The Multi-National Cemen Tech with CEO Conner Deering

It's amazing what we sometimes stumble on. About two weeks ago we received a press release about an acquisition in the UK by a company based in Central Iowa. That got us to digging a bit and we came face to face with Cemen Tech a manufacturing company that makes something called Volumetric Concrete Trucks. Intrigued we invited CEO Connor Deering in for a conversation. And...wow. Forget about the old style cement trucks you're familiar with...this is something drastically different. And the ecological impact is also a big deal. Meet Connor Deering.
