You know how much we love to chat with entrepreneurs and this entrepreneur is truly special. Dana James spent years working as a reporter for the Des Moines Register. From doing an in the paper special feature to the front page it was Dana on so many beats. Some time ago Dana was struck by the fact that there wasn't a state-wide newspaper that featured stories coming from Black Iowa. The Story of Tractor Mike a Great Entrepreneur

We've been doing this business broadcast in one form or another for close to 18 years. From Highway 6 Your Road to the Country to the Iowa Sportsman and for the past 13 years Insight on Business. During that time I've interviewed thousands of people and I've enjoyed every meeting because I always learn something. And, this is no different. Here you'll learn the story of Mike Wiles who, since 2012, has been "Tractor Mike" helping "town folks" learn more about how to operate small tractors on their acreage. But, that's not all. Going International with Willem Cornelisse 11 October 2023

Recently we were on assignment in Phoenix, Arizona and had the opportunity to visit with several folks who were attending the annual meeting of the group, Independent Distributors Association. Think heavy construction equipment and parts. While there we were able to reconnect with Willem Cornelisse the Managing Director of Cornelisse Trading a firm located in The Netherlands. Here we talk about a movement that started in Europe to ban a substance used in the manufacturing of nearly everything on the planet. The issue is that there is not yet a replacement substance and the damage would be huge to the manufacturing industry. Oh, the things you learn. Meet our friend Willem.

Celebrating 50 Years - Stockman’s Inn with Lyle and Sharon Kreps

This will be a huge memory jog for those of you who have taken in the Iowa State Fair and had the pleasure of hanging out at Stockman's Inn next to the Cattle Barn.  Lyle and Sharon Kreps started this project fifty years ago and this year they retire and turn it over to their kids Brian, Jason and Jennifer. So many stories, so many people and so many good times. Each night of the eleven day fair it's the place to go to hear live country music and reconnect with folks you may not have seen for at least a year. Here we sit down with Lyle and Sharon and son Brian to remember and look ahead. Enjoy the ride...we sure have!
