We are being told that the two hour video conference between President Biden and President Xi Jinping was a frank and honest discussion about Ukraine. The White House said after the call that Biden described the implications and consequences if China provides material support to Russia. Meanwhile Xi said that his country was not in favor of the war and had they known about it they would have tried to stop it. Two words, stay tuned. In other business news:
The markets had a surprisingly good week;

Today President Zelensky of Ukraine spoke by video link to the British Parliament who gave the besieged leader a standing ovation. Meanwhile here in the U.S. congressional leader have agreed to spend nearly $13.9 billion in aid directly to Ukraine. And, here is what we've got for you today:

While many thought Ukraine would be overrun in the first day of the invasion the people there have slowed the advance of a huge Russian convoy and are reporting the destruction of weapons and mounting Russian troops.
