GiGi's Playhouse with Andie Kreutz

The story that Andie Kreutz shared with us about down Down syndrome is, as she says, "pretty typical". Her involvement with GiGi's Playhouse - Down Syndrome Achievement Center began when a family member gave birth to a child with Down. That event set her on a path of volunteerism and activity on behalf of individuals and families. Here we talk about GiGi's Playhouse; what it does, why, and who is involved. The Black & Gold Ball - Mentors for Education

Each year the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity through the Zeta Kappa Lambda Education Foundation holds the Black & Gold Ball a fundraising event focused on educational scholarships for Central Iowa youth. It is not only one of the very best events in the Des Moines Metro the work these men do during the year is stunning in shaping leaders for the future. Des Moines Women's Club 109th Annual Art Exhibition

Beau Fodor - A Cookie Exchange for Good

Our friend Beau Fodor is back with a charity event for the Methodist Hospital Transplant Center. It's the Second Annual Cookie Exchange. Each participant bakes up his or her best and then brings it to Proof Restaurant on the 11th of December.
