The Importance of Telling Your Community Story with Alan Kemp

Here Alan Kemp the Executive Director of the Iowa League of Cities talks about the importance of each city to make sure they tell their story. The project is called Simplicity: Your City Simplified. From water to streets to how the government works to other infrastructure projects your city has so much to share and here Alan talks about cities creating those nuggets and making sure they get the word out to the citizens. A Special Needs No Kill Shelter meet Animal Lifeline

There are animal shelters and then there are special places such as Animal Lifeline of Iowa.  Celebrating nearly 40 years of serving the Des Moines area and all of Iowa. The organization rescues cats and dogs that are injured, handicapped, have a serious medical condition, are abused, pregnant, nursing moms or are orphans that require bottle feeding. Animal Lifeline of Iowa rehabilitates the animals in their care and help to adopt them into their loving, forever home.  Here Stacie Leinen talks about that and a special event happening on the 5th of August "Comedians to the Rescue".  Meet Stacie...
