Hey, welcome back to the Business News Headlines for Monday the 15th day of May. Glad you're with us again today. A slightly different newscast today because I'd like to share with you some of my experiences last week in Washington, D.C. as part of the Greater Des Moines Partnership DMDC2023 event. For nearly 40 years this, the second largest Chamber of Commerce in the U.S. heads off to D.C. to talk with our own congressional members and others about a host of issues. There are two Child Labor Bills working their way through the Iowa Legislature that should have the attention of every parent and grandparent in the state. While we do not engage in political conversation we do concentrate on business stories and this truly is one. Here Charlie Wishman the President of the Iowa Federation of Labor AFL/CIO visits with us about the danger that could impact children and families in Iowa. To be clear this organization is not against children picking up a job...a safe job. Their concern is much deeper.
