Tuesday Aug 29, 2023
Tuesday Aug 29, 2023
How well do you listen? Well, it seems that the advice we were given as a child, "Shut up and listen!" may not have been the best advice. Here Ro Crosbie the Founder, President and CEO of Tero International shares with us how to best become not only an effective listener but also an "active listener". It all boils down to being skilled in three types of questions. We found this so very valuable. And she also shares, toward the end of our conversation, how Tero assists non-profits and charitable organizations. Think "education". Enjoy...

Writer, Podcaster, Consultant & Educator meet Abena Imhotep
Friday Aug 25, 2023
Friday Aug 25, 2023
She is one of the most outspoken people I know. Abena Imhotep was last on our broadcast in 2019 urging people to treat every Friday as "Black Friday". Meaning they should make it a point to shop at Black owned businesses each week. And, it works. Today we're here to talk about her new book, "Omari's Big Tree and the Mighty Djembe". Sure, you can get it on Amazon but why not support a local business? You'll also hear about her Podcast, "Black & Privileged" plus her work consulting businesses in diversity, equity and inclusion which has an amazing bit of education attached. Have a listen to this very dynamic woman who speaks...truth.
Thanks for listening!
