Kidsave - The Touching Story of Adoption

Right now, in the Des Moines Metro, there are five children from Columbia in need of permanent families. The kids range in age of 11 to 13 and their chances for adoption have dwindled due to their crime of...age. This emotional conversation with Jessica Dunker is a "must listen" to interview. You have the opportunity to truly make a difference through Kidsave a non-profit created in Des Moines for the purpose of uniting children with loving families. IowaStock 2017 Update with Jonathan

Dogs, Dinner and Doing Good

Meet our friend Ryan Anderson from the Des Moines Jaycees who was in to talk about Tables & Tails a fund raising effort on behalf of Paws & Effects mission to provide for the care and training of service dogs for veterans. Here Ryan shares with you the nine restaurants where you can go to eat...and have them donate proceeds to the charity. It's a win-win for everybody!

Depending on who you know you may have never heard of Iowa Safe Schools however we bet you've heard about bullying in schools or hazing, the uptick among suicides in our schools and the Governor's Conference on LGBTQ Youth. Meet Scott Heldt the Communications and Development Director for Iowa Safe Schools and Executive Director Nate Monson. Here we talk about how Iowa Safe Schools assists LGBTQ students with a number of affirming projects from bullying intervention, to staff training, to the Iowa Gay-Straight Alliance. The Des Moines Arts Festival - Fun Times!

Just days away from the 2017 Des Moines Arts Festival and we were thrilled to have Stephen King and Kristian Day take some time away and be with us in studio to talk about the "back-story". What started back in 1958 as "Art in the Park" has grown to become an international sensation.
