He teaches courses on creativity, innovation, entrepreneurship and organizational behavior. We leave out the news but include the interviews.In this broadcast we visit with Rich Eychaner of Eichaner Properties and the founder of the Eychaner Foundation which promotes tolerance and non-discrimination. We spent some time talking about the 149 scholarships the foundation has given out as well as the special screening of Matt Shepard is a Friend of Mine which takes place on Wednesday evening. Big things happening and we were grateful that Rich could find some time to be with us.In the Second half-hour we visited with Martha Willits about the Polk County Courthouse Proposal. This $81 million proposal to re-build and re-purpose the 106 year old courthouse goes before the voters on November 5th. Sound reasoning from Martha.

First we have a discussion with the 85th president of the Iowa Jaycees. Tom Welchans of Atlantic is in town for a state-wide meeting of the Junior Chamber and we asked him to come by and tell us about this wonderful young persons leadership training organization. And, because Michael is a former president of the Iowa Jaycees he has a special place in his heart for the organization.Then we visited with Robin Pruisner who is the state entomologist working for the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship. We asked Robin to share with us the facts behind the recent news release regarding the infestation alert for the Emerald Ash Borer and why you need to be concerned and what you can do about it.
