There is so much going on when it comes to education in Iowa and frankly many other states. From inflation costs, to state support of public schools to teacher pay vs. a work/life balance to public money being used to pay for private and often religious schools. In this interview with Mike Beranek the president of the Iowa State Education Association we take a deep dive into those issues and more. Oh, one other thing: the link between a solid public education and business as employer expectations demand better educated workers in a rapidly changing work environment. So much to talk about.

Welcome to a brand new month, we're grateful you are here and listening. We start off with what was a head-snaping day on Wall Street. The reason? We'll talk about that and more. Plus click ahead for the interview with Terri Stevens who is thriving in a male dominated industry...but, it was not always like that. Also, remember that you can hook up with us all day on Twitter @IOB_NewsHour and on Instagram. Here's what we've got for you today:

Surprise! The number of open jobs are way up;
Is Ticketmaster up to the latest announced tour?
Google and Apple and the White House...it's an issue;
Chick-fil-a drive thru lanes a public hazard?
The Wall Street Report;
And, Netflix has some news about password sharing.
Those stories and a conversation with Terri Stevens who, since seventeen, has been known as Greasy Girl in a male dominated enterprise. Now, years later she is the owner of The Tractor Barn of Missouri...how have things changed? We met up in Nashville during the Annual Conference & Trade Show of the National Tractor Parts Dealer Association. Click this link to listen in.
