Banning Books. A Good Idea for Recruitment & Retention of Workers?

It's a bit confusing. At a time when the State of Iowa is having worker shortages in nearly every segment from teachers to tech the government here doubles down on a host of issues that drive people away or think twice about relocating to the state.  It's truly a business issue. Here we sit down with Sara Parris who is with the rather new group known as Annie's Foundation.  Five Moms who have decided to push back on the issue of banning books.  Not just in schools but also in public libraries. Recording the History of Iowa Jews

It's a major effort: "Collect the audio and video history of the Iowa Jewish Community so that these memories will live on for generations." You are about to meet Sandi Yoder the Director of the Iowa Jewish Historical Society and Susan Jellinger the audio/visual assistant who conducts these interviews. So, what is the business angle?  As people migrated into Iowa a great many Jews followed. First as town-to-town peddlers selling everything from cloth to pots and pans. As time went on they set down roots and opened shops and stores. They became bank presidents and insurance executives, doctors, lawyers and the working families that took part in creating what exists today.
