Tuesday May 31, 2022
Tuesday May 31, 2022
This truly is one of the more inventive business adventures we've ever featured. Brenna Young was on our newscast several years ago when she had a catering business. A couple of years ago she sold that and reimagined herself as a "Boat Captain for Hire". She went to the United States Coast Guard training facility and now can captain your boat...wherever. She recently traveled to Florida to better learn about navigating the Gulf of Mexico. Her business, Party on the Lake, is a real tribute to entrepreneurship. Listen as we talk about it.

Five years ago, on a whim, Dave Miglin the Vice President of Media & Digital Services at Strategic America, a marketing & advertising agency, thought up the idea of visiting every one of the then 955 Incorporated Communities in Iowa. Recently he finished that project and now wants to find ways to go back and help these towns find ways to capitalize on what they have. From the tiny community of Le Roy to the redemption at West Bend. Listen as we name names and Dave shares some interesting stories about his journeys.

You never know where you'll find an interesting story. A couple of weeks ago we got an email from an old friend, Roger Sanders, asking if we might take a look at his new adventure and business. Two Lane Rambler is all about "Discovering Rural America" as this former newspaper and magazine writer travels the back roads and helps you discover hidden treasurers tucked away in small towns and villages. We think it's a neat idea and pleased to share it with you. Enjoy...
