Emergency Medical Services (EMS) - Who Pays?

Recently we were at the Iowa State Capital and ran into a group of EMS providers who were ther lobbying for...funding. We met Mark McCullough the president of the Iowa Emergency Medical Services Association who shared with us the harrowing tale of funding, or lack of funding. Many of us think Emergency Medical Services are part of the local fire department...not so. Couple that with inadequate funding, wrestling with insurance companies, Medicaid reimbursement levels and an aging corps of workers...we've got issues. Here is that story.
