Iowa Hospitals and the Health Care Debate
This past week we had a news story that said so far, this year, 49 hospitals in the United States have closed their doors. Contrary to popular belief the Affordable Care Act was a boost to health care and to hospitals. To dig into this we invited the Iowa Hospital Association to weigh in on the health care debate. Here Scott McIntyre the Vice President of Communications for the association talks about rural health care delivery, affordability and the danger both the House and Senate versions of health care insurance options have on our hospitals, clinics and patients.
